I'm Kyng Kyren
Growing up in rural North Carolina Kyren Gibson’s father saw signs of him beginning to succumb to negative neighborhood influences and began to raise him full time. Living with his father; he gained structure, raised his grades, and earned a football scholarship to Mars Hill College. Unfortunately, due to lack of focus he left after one year and was sent to live with his aunt & uncle in Atlanta. They owned a successful cleaning business sparking Kyren’s interest in entrepreneurism. As a father to a young son he began to hustle on the side to make ends meet. Consistently witnessing the destruction of lives and paths to prison he decided he wanted more out of life. Kyren stopped hustling and began to research how to increase generational wealth. Focusing on nurturing his son and teaching him that to work ethic is key when paired with a thirst for knowledge. They began to post various videos online with one of 8-year-old Kyng showcasing his deep understanding of financial lingo going viral. This video was picked up by African American culture blog The Shade Room and reached Mark Cuban, Damon John, CNN, Good Morning America, and more igniting a conversation on teaching the African American community to build legacies instead of debt.
He realized the opportunity to educate his community by making learning fun and engaging while motivating. Kyren and Kyng went into their second partnership now as business men. They created “Kyren & Kyng” a educational tool and motivational speaking company with the goal of empowering their community through wealth and knowledge.
